Our Vision & Values
The Vision
Our vision is to Gather searching hearts into the saving embrace of God’s love, Grow in the truth and transforming power of the gospel, and Go giving ourselves with genuineness and passion to our God.
A church that gathers is…
A church where people are welcome to be themselves, take off religious masks, and develop real, authentic, and accepting relationships.
A church that practices hospitality and is intentional about removing obstacles to belonging.
A church that grows is…
A church in which people encounter and move toward Jesus.
A church led by individual and corporate prayer.
A church whose members participate regularly in life-changing small groups.
A church where the power of God is present to heal people emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.
A church that has a deep love and care for children and a willingness to devote substantial time, energy, and resources into serving them.
A church that goes is…
A church where ministry is done by every member, not just the pastors, leaders, or staff.
A church that engages in intentional and relevant outreach.
A church that cares about and does something for people outside its own walls—especially the poor and needy.
A church that provides training both for ministry and for life.
A church that is large enough and strong enough to impact this region and is able to plant other healthy, life-giving churches.
Our Values
Authentic Relationships: Our faith revolves around relationships because God is relational. We are a community committed to following Jesus together, not in isolation. God forms us into the people He created us to be, when we live in open, honest and loving relationships.
The Bible: We believe the Bible is the living word of God and is trustworthy for revealing the nature and character of God. We believe the Bible is inspired truth, applicable to all people in all places, throughout all time. Therefore, we seek to apply it to all aspects of life.
Relevant Mission & Ministry: We are an outward-focused community committed to extending God’s love by meeting the practical and spiritual needs of people. We are sent by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit to join with God where he is already working. So, we encourage and train people to use their gifts and abilities in everyday life.
Kingdom of God: God’s Kingdom is present when He has His way in the world and in our lives. It is the central message in the work and ministry of Jesus. We experience the Kingdom in many tangible ways including: personal salvation, social justice, freedom from destructive habits, physical, spiritual, and emotional healing. The Kingdom of God is a future hope and a present reality, both “now and not yet.” We keep asking for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done while waiting in joyful anticipation for the fullness of His presence and power.
Experiencing God: We grow deeper in our relationship with God through worship, prayer, serving others, Bible study, giving generously and other spiritual disciplines. We frequently encounter God’s presence and power through prophetic insight, healing, and other miracles. We desire to know and experience His presence, hear His voice, and willingly take risks to follow Him. We continually learn to trust His leadership and love.
